What we store on your device

Your saved stations and recently played stations are stored in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device. Clearing your browser data removes them.

What we send to our servers

We send data to our servers only when you submit a station. We store the station name, city, country, language, genres, stream and website links, and an optional contact email you provide. We use that information to review and list the station.

Audio streams

Each station streams directly from its own broadcaster. Those broadcasters may collect listener data under their own policies. africanpublic does not host or record audio.

Analytics

We do not currently use advertising analytics or sell personal information. If that changes, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect.

Donations and Stripe

Donations may be processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. Stripe processes payment details under its own privacy policy and may collect payment, device, and fraud-prevention information. We receive the donation status and limited transaction details needed for records, receipts, and nonprofit reporting.

Your choices

You can clear saved and recent stations at any time from your browser settings. To ask us to remove a station, delete a submission, or ask about donation data, contact us through the submission form.
